When you leave Mont-Tremblant by the way of Lake Mercier, you arrive directly in the municipality of La Conception, dotted by many lakes and bisected by the magnificent Red River. Hiking trails and a cliff face for rock climbing are located at La Montagne d’Argent (Silver Mountain).

Many cabinet-makers have chosen to live on this area along with horticultural producers, an artisan soap maker, riding stables and sled dog mushers. You can even float down the river comfortably installed in a canoe, a kayak or better still on a beautiful barge.

Continue on to nearby Labelle to visit this village nestled beside the Red River. Just before you cross the bridge, you can rent watercraft to take full advantage of fabulous scenery along the river. Once you have crossed the bridge admire the statue of Curé Labelle on your right located in a little park then head south on the 117 towards Brébeuf.
